Guidelines
We accept submissions from high school, undergraduate, and graduate students from all disciplines and academic institutions. Submissions should be anywhere from 600-2,000 words (flexible upper limit). Articles must be accompanied by a cover image to be used on the online issue.
Formatting
Title and Body text - font style: Times New Roman, font size: 12, spacing: 2
Footnotes - font style: Times New Roman, font size: 10
Title final document submissions as follows: FirstName LastName - Title (ex: John Doe - Vergil in Medieval Europe)
Your document must include a heading that contains: your name, date of submission, academic institution, and year of graduation.
Citations (if applicable)
All sources should be cited in Chicago-style notes-bibliography format. Use shortened footnotes only. Include a full-length bibliography at the end of the article.
When applicable, primary source citations should be abbreviated in accordance with the Oxford Classical Dictionary. Example: Cic. Cat. 1.21-3
All images must be in the public domain or otherwise credited.
Originality
Those who have plagiarised will not be allowed to submit their work to Liber again. Plagiarism is defined as portraying the work of another as your own, either intentionally or unintentionally.
The use of AI in any capacity is strictly prohibited for Liber articles.
Articles will be run through Turnitin as part of the evaluation process.
Following submission, an editor will contact the author with feedback, after which the author will be able to respond to any edits ahead of publication.
By submitting to Liber, you affirm that the Publication may publish your submission in any format, including electronic and print media.
